Imperial Avenue Micro Units
A nonprofit development partnered with Civic Communities, this 15 unit apartment building with retail space on the first floor in Logan Heights will be mixed-use Affordable Housing. With plans by LPA Architects the building is thoughtfully designed to match the history and cultural charm of the neighborhood.
Container Homes for Vets
Makana designed, CoPlacer built. This 21 unit concept to build affordable housing without using government funding is constructed entirely of repurposed shipping containers. Conceptual designs by Tannerhecht Architecture, Crate Modular fabricated, and local plans by LPA Architecture and RadLab Architecture, these 42 shipping containers were transformed into 21 studio apartments. San Diego's first shipping container apartments now house low income tenants.
